Life is complicated. There are no right or wrong decisions, only habits that are more effective or improve our quality of life. Life is an infinite game where the goal is not to win, but to continue playing better. The infinity of possibilities can be overwhelming and debilitating. How can we make the best decisions, especially in an environment of contradictory advice?

I don’t love the phrase “life hacks,” because hack can have such negative connotations. Hackers are people who expose computer vulnerabilities. Hacks are comedians who steal materials from others. But life hacks have come to represent the simple little shortcuts that save time and energy. More importantly, they give us high-leverage points to be more effective with our limited time.
