6 Reasons Why Bluey Is Simply The Best Kids’ Show

As the parent of a toddler, I’ve watched a lot of kids' television shows. Some of it good; more of it bad. But I’ve found my favorite.

(It’s not always my daughter’s favorite; but she’s two, so her opinion changes by the hour.)

The best kids’ show is Bluey. (And I’m not the only one who thinks that.)

Basically, it’s the story of a family of Australian heeler dogs: a mum, a dad, and two daughters named Bingo and Bluey.

Here are 6 reasons why it’s undeniably awesome:

1. Short episodes

All of the episodes are only about 8 minutes long. Most other made-for-television shows last about 22 minutes. Which is short when you’re watching with adults, but can be an eternity for a toddler.

The brevity of the episodes also means that they can make a bunch more episodes every season. Currently, there are only two seasons on Disney Plus, but there are 50+ episodes each.

That means no more watching the same 6 episodes over and over and over and over again.

2. Beautiful animation

I don’t know enough about animation to explain why, but Bluey’s animation is just beautiful. There are vibrant colors and pleasing shapes. Everything just looks crisp and comforting.

The content is great, but I could almost watch the show on mute just to look at the visual artistry (created by Australia’s Ludo studios).

Not to mention, Australian heeler dogs (which the main characters are based on) are some pretty cute canines. So that certainly helps.

3. It’s hilarious (even for adults)
